The D-MAX Power steering rack for 240SX (S13 series) / A31 (left-hand drive) is intended to improve steering response, durability, or steering-angle capability on the listed applications.
In recent years, the development of extended lower control arms for the front suspension, significantly increased steering angle knuckles, and high-grip tires has placed a greater burden on the power steering rack, leading to frequent cases of seal failure due to inability to withstand the pressure. Furthermore, genuine parts have become excessively expensive, and due to the high rate of failures, remanufactured parts are also in short supply. Therefore, D-MAX has prepared a product that reduces the burden even if a seal fails. This is a rare left-hand drive version, so we recommend purchasing it as a spare. The durability of the steering rack varies greatly depending on the power steering oil, so D-MAX recommends SUNOCO oil, which has a proven track record of use in D1GP participating vehicles.
